History

Utilizing his background in real estate sales and construction work during his studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University where he majored in Real Estate, Charles J. Femminella, Jr. began his career at the Local Property Tax Bureau of the Division of Taxation, State of New Jersey as a Field Appraiser and was promoted to Senior Appraiser in seven (7) months.

He left the State of New Jersey three years later and was employed as the Building Inspector, Zoning Officer, Director of Building Rehabilitation and full time Tax Assessor for the Township of Randolph in Morris County where he still resides.

In 1973, Charles J. Femminella, Jr. was asked to perform a reassessment of the Borough of Glen Rock and after that program was completed he reassessed the neighboring community of Midland Park. He then, in 1976, incorporated his company (Certified Valuations, Inc.) and began the growth process by revaluing the neighboring communities of Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes and Oakland.

Certified Valuations, Inc. now has grown in size. It employs over 50 individuals who provide government entities with administration, data processing, photography, real estate appraisals, Assessor assistance, revaluations, assistance to Municipal Attorneys with respect to State Tax appeals, and other appraisal assignments.

During its 33 years as a New Jersey Corporation, Certified Valuations, Inc. has served governmental agencies in the following capacity:
